I attended college at West Texas A&M University. There I completed my bachelor’s degree in accounting and master’s degree in professional accounting (MPA).
What is your area of specialty – how do you best help your clients?
I will be working with the Non-Profit and Tax teams here in Holland. I will be helping complete Non-Profit Audits, Reviews, and Compilations. I will also be helping complete some business tax returns.
How do you like to give back to the community?
I attend Jamestown Reformed Church, and here I help with the Youth programs. I am the leader for the Middle schoolers, and I help plan/lead lessons, games, retreats, and community mission work.
What are your superpowers – something you’re good at that others should know about?
I would say that I am a Determined worker. When problems arise, I am not one to give up easily, I like to use problem solving skills to determine the fix/cause of the problem and figure out the solution. Another would be that I am a big people person, so that allows me to work well with others to complete those tasks or jobs on hand.
Accomplishment you’re proud of?
I would say that one of the biggest accomplishments that I have achieved so far is the completion of my Masters. I just recently finished the program in August 2023. Being able to walk the stage for that was a great feeling and made me feel like all the hard work that I had put in up to that point had really paid off. Hopefully soon I can feel the same way about the CPA certification.
Tell us about your life outside of work (family/pets/sports/activities/interests/hobbies)
I am married to my lovely wife Hannah! I love being able to spend and experience every part of life with her. I love to do things outdoors! Hiking, camping, fishing, swimming, you name it, I am all for it! A big passion of mine is movies! I love going to the theatre to watch movies.
It is one of my favorite things to do in the whole world (also nothing beats fresh popcorn and a DP). I love watching all the iconic movies and seeing if I enjoy them myself. I am a big sports guy, but my passion would be baseball! Nothing beats Americas Pastime. Also go Braves!
