What is your area of specialty – how do you best help your clients?
As one of the leaders of the firm’s cannabis accounting group, I specialize in accounting solutions, including tech stack recommendations, accounting system set-up/improvements, training of clients and their staff, monthly/quarterly internal financial statements, and ongoing assistance with accounting questions and issues. I also provide tax planning and preparation services.

How do you like to give back to the community?
Member of MICPA cannabis industry expert panel, treasurer of Greenville Business Network. For years I volunteered in a treasurer or other capacity for youth sports programs, most recently the Fenwick Football Club. As the Fenwick Football Club has disbanded, I am currently looking at other volunteer opportunities with animal rescue groups. This is a cause close to my heart and something that I am looking forward to pursuing.
What are your superpowers – something you’re good at that others should know about?
My superpower is cultivating and maintaining client relationships.
Accomplishment you’re proud of?
Personally, I am most proud of my children and all they have accomplished. Professionally, I am most proud of the cannabis practice that I have led the development of within the firm.
Tell us about your life outside of work (family/pets/sports/activities/interests/hobbies)
Outside of work, I enjoy running with my dog Wheezy, thrift shopping with my husband Brian and spending time with my three children, Ben, Sam and Autumn. My husband and I also enjoy hiking and are looking forward to exploring trails in Michigan and in National Parks around the country.
What is your favorite part of working at the firm?
My favorite part of working at the firm has been the freedom to develop my own area of practice, all while being afforded the work/life balance to also be able to spend time with and be there for my family.
