In Remembrance of Robert Gerbel
Bob Gerbel, the founder of Gerbel and Company (now Hungerford CPAs + Advisors in St. Joseph), has passed away at the age of 87. Bob was passionate about St. Joseph, always working for ways to further the Southwest Michigan region and to give back. Bob was kind and generous, a die-hard MSU Spartan fan, and devoted to his family, friends, clients, and colleagues.
Managing Shareholder Tom Prince recalls his excitement to welcome Bob Gerbel to our family. “Bob’s focus was always on excellent service, integrity, and community involvement. That excellent service was a cornerstone for Bob when he founded Gerbel & Company in 1968. Bob was a great guy and it was so evident that he loved what he was doing!”
Bob valued relationships and providing clients with the best possible service – Right. On time, and at a fair price. He had a commitment to personalized, professional service and demonstrated a high level of commitment to the community. We are blessed to have called him a colleague and a friend. He will be missed by his family, our family, and the entire community.
